ORDER
The faculty team member must submit a letter of intent by January 31, 2001. The letter should include the following:
  • a descriptive title of the proposed research.
  • the name, address, and telephone number of the faculty member.
  • the name and academic program in which the student is enrolled.
  • the general goals of the proposed research .
  • the student involvement in the project. The project must assure that the student carries out at least 30% of the research activities.
The information provided will allow the Governor’s Institute to identify potential reviewers and avoid conflict of interest in the review process.

The North Carolina Governor’s Institute will provide applicants with a grant application package only if a letter of intent has been received. The original grant application and three copies must be received at the Governor’s Institute by April 2, 2001. Applications should be submitted to the Grant Review Committee, Public Policy Scholars Program at above listed location.
